  1. Hey, I’ve posted here before. I love the podcasts you do. I’ve played the games before (It’s always fun to try and conquer with Ma Tent) and I’ve recently started reading the novel.
    My question is why the names are different in the book? In the games and your podcasts it’s Liu Being or Cao Cao. In the book it’s Liu Pei or Chang Fei. Is there a reason for that?

    1. Hi John. Sorry for the late response. Been crazy busy lately. Thanks for checking out the podcast!

      To answer your question: The version of the book you have is most likely using the older Wade-Giles system for Romanizing Chinese. The more modern and now more widely used system is the pinyin system, which is what I use with the podcast. The words are pronounced the same way regardless which system you use.
